headlight covers Empty
PostSubject: headlight covers   headlight covers EmptyThu Sep 06, 2012 6:34 am

I have a pair of original headlights and headlight covers that came with the car. Was woundering if i should sell them or store them really. I have no idea how much they are worth or how rare the covers are :S

I'd say keep them, like I did with the suspensions.... you never know when you'll need a backup!

Like me, I always keep the OEM lights because I'm always messing with them, so I need the backups on the car while I'm working (like will be soon on the IS300 Razz)

The covers can still be purchased brand new from Toyota (or at least they can be over here anyway), so they're not exactly rare, but they certainly come in handy. I had some a while ago and didn't like the look of them when they were fitted so I sold them, but when I recently purchased a brand new replacement set of BZ Touring headlights from Toyota there was no way in hell I was going on long trips without a set of headlight protectors because I'd probably cry if I got a stone chip on my new, shiny, expensive headlights, lol. So I use mine every time I go out of town now. Worth every cent just for the peace of mind alone Smile

Ooooo nice! Very subtle. Why not just leave it on all the time?

Thanks. They produce a bit of glare/reflection when fitted, so they take away from the overall beauty of my shiny new headlights Laughing. So around town I leave them off so that my headlights are seen in all of their glory, plus if I leave them on overnight and my car is outside for the night, condensation builds between the cover and the headlight, which takes a while to clear up on it's own.

Yeah, the Euro corner lights are flat, the JDM ones have the bump on the sides.
