driveshaft??

ok I have had this knocking on my car for a whilst and I now believe its coming from the front n/s. I reckon it is driveshaft, that would explain the vigorous juddering as per my previous posts and also would explain the what seems random knocking that I am getting.

Anyone know of a good place (in the uk) that I can get a replacement?

gxi driveshafts maybe hard to find, but it depends 1.6 (4afe) may fit but im not 100% sure.

you could always change the cv joint?

What gear box are you running?
Check the build plate in the engine bay its should have C52 or C56 under Gearbox, I'm picking C52.
From there we can determine which other cars run the same gbox

I found a toyota garage up north of england that wioll deliver a shaft for £40 inc postage and thats one from a m reg gxi so im assuming its the same :S they have asked wether it is abs or not and im sure it is. Im at work atm so I cant get any details but ill be home on monday morning so ill do it then Very Happy

and then we can find out what others will fit Very Happy
