| Anybody have a step/courtesy light or know where it is? Im thinking this might be a luxury option with lights on the doors so you can see where your stepping when you open the door, but not sure?
Just curious because I got 2 LED bulbs to fit the dome light and the step/courtesy light bulb is the same size according to this chart....

| That is weird.... I don't think it was ever an option, I wonder if they mean another spot. Although I can't think of any other light that uses the same bulb as the dome. I know my IS300 has a door courtesy light that comes on when you open the door, but it was red, so it was more for safety than anything I guess. Until I made it white | |

| Yea, it seems to be a mystery. Im also now confused about what/where the Front/Rear Side Marker Lights are? I dont think I have those either lol
Aw well. I just ordered a bunch more LED bulbs. I got 2 green LED 194 bulbs for the license plate. 4 Super White LED 1156 bulbs for the turn signals. and 2 Super White LED 1156 bulbs for the reverse (a different style). and I am about to buy some LED 1157s
Should I get some red bulbs or stick with white. Im thinking white

| OK, I REEAALLLLLLLLLY hope you didn't just buy white LEDs for going behind a red or amber lens, because the light won't shine through. You MUST get LED color that matches the lens (red for brakes, amber for signals).
And on that site... the front side marker is the corner light on the fender (194), and the rear sidemarker is the side light from the outer brake lights (1157), so it's not a special bulb.

Oops. yes, i went all super white. Ill try em out and if they dont work out ill order some red ones. I figured the white LEDs would be fine since all of my bulbs are currently clear. Plus my tails are not as tinted. heres the bulbs i bought for the tails http://www.ebay.com/itm/300459945388?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_2868wt_1037

| Or should I cancel that order and get 2 pairs of these?

| Wow bro, let me tell you, cheap LED bulbs like those are not gonna be visible at all. Especially the last one, there are no LEDs to hit the reflectors! IMO, there are NO PNP LED bulbs that work well on the car. None of them have managed to replicate the very bright 360 degree light that the regular bulbs put out. You can spend $80 on the best pairs, but even those won't be as bright. But definitely way brighter than what you are using. And about using the white LEDs, well "white" LEDs don't put out the same color spectrum as stock incandescents. Stock bulbs put out LOTS of yellow, orange, red, but the LEDs are mostly blue (actually, in fact, white LEDs are made by using a blue or UV LED and putting yellow phosphorus over it to glow like a black light). If you notice, putting even a stock bulb behind a colored lens cuts down on the output (like using amber signals or clear lenses). It is much worse with LEDs. That's why they sell red and amber ones. I would cancel the order for all the LED bulbs.... but those are so cheap, maybe just let them arrive so you can mess with them! I definitely did the same thing back in 2007. I went through so many bulbs trying to find bright ones lol, but I had to give up. Now, I build my own LEDs. But it all started with cheap LED bulbs from Ebay! So see what they are like, and even take pics! Oh, and here's a pic. I used these LEDs for the 4 brake lights in those same tail lights. But notice how these have lots of LEDs going sideways into the reflectors more or less. But notice how dim they are! The worst thing is the difference between bright and dim mode is very small, so it's very hard to tell when the brakes go on. | |

| That sucks!! So I just pretty much wasted $30 bucks lol. Aw well, at leaste it was free shipping. I think im going to cancel those orders and request a refund on the taillights but keep the lights I ordered for the trunk garnish and license plate.
Thanks for the advise man. I really wish I was more patient and waited to consult you first lol

| No problem! Always glad to help. But $30 ain't bad! I've got LED bulbs that are more expensive than $30 EACH lol.
I see the lights you bought. While I would not have ordered any of those, I think I like the parking light ones the best. The license plate lights would have been good in white, but green is cool, too haha. And the garnish lights are fine, except that they are white instead of red of course. Just try em out!
