Super Stru Suspension

Hi all. I am new to the Club and to the Levin family.

I am from Fiji and just yesterday i bought a Toyota Levin. It isn't in a good condition. I am trying to rebuild it and better the appearance and safety.

I cannot find the Super Strut Suspensions on it, which was factory installed. I have taken the options o convert the Super Strut into a AE100 Suspension with the the ABS system.

Was just wondering if anyone has done this conversion. If someone did this conversation, just wanna know any limitations or disadvantages to it?

To answer your question, swapping to the mcpherson is easy enough to do, you will have to swap the brakes (including rotors) over as well as the hubs , and struts.

As for the ABS you would need all the brake lines, the valve control, ABS ECU and all the wiring, its quite a major but can be done, I have a mate that has done it.
You can run the ABS brakes with out them hooked up.

Did the conversation successfully yesterday. most of the things fit into the car bolt on, without any modifications. The AE101 Rotor and the Caliper both could be used on this A100 Shocks and Suspension. I have to get spacer though to place inside the Rotor. Haven't done that yet, probably in the future might do that.

Suspension and the racks are all the same and perfectly fitted. Just gotta change the D Bushings, change the brake hoses tonight.. then off to testing.....

I also gotta do an Overhaul on my Engine. Its a factory fitted 4AGZE supercharger. Do you know where i could get the kit for this.

superstrut is such a pain in the ass! twice now i have had to replace a small rod with a ball joint in one end. had one reconditioned and it only lasted 6 months. i need to replace both mine again now and its $600-$700 i dont have. so in the shed she will stay for a while longer

i miss my superstrut even with tein coils on mc pherson set up its not the same
