What engine

Well lads, since posting my other thread i have been looking around this forum and have decided i want a slammed saloon e10. Living in Ireland all that seem to be for sale are 1.3 liters. This good for tax and insurance purposes but i doubt the little 1.3 will move, if you get me. I'm thinking if i buy a 1.3 xli and at a later stage i can always drop in another engine. Now this brings me to my reason for this post;

What engine to go for.? Ideally i want to keep it a 1.6 (for cheaper tax) but i also want power and reliability as a daily driver. Are there any 1.6 Toyotas that will go in relatively easy and are there any guides on doing said conversions.

generally the best 1.6 you can get is either the 4age 20v ST or BT

Ye i was thinking that would be the answer. Whats the 20v like to live with everyday.?
Also what componants are needed to put in the 20v.? ecu, wiring loom, anything else.?
